I had no idea that Dresden had no military value whatsoever. It was a city of rich culture and architecture. Nothing but civilians, and unimaginable carnage, largely from one night of death and destruction, followed by several days of smaller raids to finish the job. Never learned about this in school or through the media. The ruins of Dresden resemble the ruins of Gaza, Iraq, and Syria. Makes clear the values of those in charge of these bombings.
