“Attention! Your attention, please! A newsflash has this moment arrived from the Malabar front. Our forces in South India have won a glorious victory. I am authorized to say that the action we are now reporting may well bring the war within measurable distance of its end. ”

If you’re like me, you’ll immediately recognize the quote above from the classic dystopian novel, NINETEEN EIGHTY FOUR by Eric Arthur Blair aka ‘George Orwell‘. Do you ever get the sense the plutocrats have used it as a kind of cookbook for their own twisted dreams of Oligarchic Collectivism… a sort of ‘Kinder, gentler’, inverted totalitarianism?

According to this story on “World Socialist Web Site” (www.wsws.org), and the New India Express American, Japanese and Indian warships are playing week-long “Malabar” war games in the western Pacific. Described by the US Navy as “complex, high-end, war-fighting exercises” designed to increase the ability of the three navies to operate together. The target of these “exercises” is clearly China, whose own naval vessels are shadowing this massive display of gunboat diplomacy, eerily reminiscent of Britains Opium Wars in the 19th century. 

It seems to me either there’s a fifth column with an ironic sense of humour within the PTB, or they are collectively sticking their fat tongues out at us mere proles with “nod, nod, wink, wink” pop culture references like “Malabar” only a tiny fraction of the dumbed down, outer party members have sufficient whit and words to comprehend anyway.

The Pentagon confirms the flotilla is composed of the USS John C. Stennis and the vessel’s entire carrier strike group, comprising four other surface ships and a Los Angeles-class nuclear attack submarine. India has sent two stealth frigates, a guided-missile corvette and a fleet-support ship. According to the Indian Navy, their ships Satpura, Sahyadri, Shakti and Kirch are participating in the 20th edition of the naval exercise while Japan has sent its huge helicopter carrier—in effect, an aircraft carrier under another name. These exercises are being bolstered by a new commitment of American combat troops to Afghanistan by the Obama regime, marking another extension of the worlds longest war through to 2020.

Meanwhile in the Balkans, American lead, NATO forces are staging what can only be described as a half-assed, Operation Barbarossa II provocation along almost the entire Eurasian border with Russia! The United States of America and her allies are planning a war with Russia on the pretext of her resistance to their installation of a fascist regime in Kiev. Here in Canada, our betters, lead by our dreamy PM are ready to give the green light to deploy 1000 combat troops to the command of a permanent force in the Balkans and most Canadians are either fine with it, or totally oblivious.

Even the fabled Oceania never dared risk war on both fronts simultaneously. We were always and only ever at war with either East Asia, or Eurasia. Never both! I’m also pretty sure Orwell never imagined Big Brother with a sense of humour.

You there. That’s right you 8376352, Smith! Look at me. I can touch my toes and have had three children too. Just think of what our comrades on the Malabar front are going through. Put your back into it!
